Visitors at our Open House last weekend
We had an Open House last Friday and Saturday to show people what we have been working on. It was very well attended, upwards of 75 to 100 people between the two days. We gave continuous tours on Friday evening and Saturday all day, and got lots of great questions and interest from quite a few new volunteers.

In addition to the Open House, we did work on the plane as well over the weekend last week. We got the trailing edges ready for the tail sections, glued the final set of test biscuits, and worked on tool development.
Tail trailing edges cut and prepped and ready to put in a composite sandwich
Biscuits ready for hole cutouts and gluing second side.
Clearing the foam out of the center hole
Waxing the bolts used for alignment and clamping of biscuit second side
Biscuits with bolt ready for gluing of second face sheet
Biscuits glued, clamped and taped
Tail trailing edges under vacuum
Peeling it back (poly film on top, to be removed, accounts for wrinkles)
The completed trailing edges waiting to be cut out
Completed test biscuits
Biscuit on prototype tool
Inserting biscuit (ovalizing to ease insertion)
Leaving biscuit in place -- pinching to hold biscuit while removing tool
